Region 5 Board of Directors Representative

Subject: Region 5 Omega Life Membership Meeting

Brothers in a few days we will convene in Nashville, TN at the Nashville Airport Marriott, 600 Marriott Drive, for our annual Regional Life Membership meeting which will take place on Friday, April 1st, 12 p.m. It is important for you attend the meeting for two reasons.

First, I have considered it a pleasure to serve and represent you on this board. It has been a great experience. However, we will need to hold an election for a new Region 5 Director. The foundation’s by-laws require that I relinquish my seat on the Board of Directors since I have served two consecutive three year terms.

Second, Brother Lewis J. Sears, Ph.D., Chairman Omega Life Membership Foundation Board of Directors will attend this meeting. You will be given the opportunity to discuss with Chairman Brother Sears the accomplishments, future direction of the foundation, and other related topics.

I look forward to seeing you at the meeting.

Your brother for life,

Brother Mark Bishop Region 5 Director

About OLMF

When it comes to investing in the future, the Omega Life Membership Foundation, Inc.(OLMF), continues to provide scholarship awards for those Omega brothers that display significant intellectual excellence and academic accomplishments.

Often times, we read about the plight of young African-American men, suffering insurmountable odds or we read about circumstances that might lead them to make decisions that are detrimental to a long successful career or profession.

The Omega Life Membership Foundation, in coordination with the International Scholarship Commission, has been a longtime supporter of undergraduate and graduate scholars of the Fraternity. Over $125,000 in scholarships were provided by OLMF in 2012.

OLMF is committed to help improve the graduation rate among young men in the Fraternity and that support begins with rewarding scholars for their continued dedication to their studies. The ultimate goal is to have the scholarship recipients give back to the community and others once they achieve success in their chosen profession.
