It is again the intent of Brother Ed Morant, Fifth District Representative, for 2012, to impact our host city (Memphis) at the 64th Fifth District Meeting in many positive ways. One way to accomplish this goal is to expand children’s vocabulary and hence their imagination with dictionaries. We will again seek to identify challenged or at-risk elementary schools and supply them with about 800 dictionaries.

With a donation of only $30 (which includes taxes, shipping and handling), each chapter can purchase 24 dictionaries. We are asking each Graduate Chapter to donated at least $60 for two cases (or 48 dictionaries) and each Undergraduate Chapter to donated at least $30 for one case (or 24 dictionaries).

Shipping  will be coordinated between Bro. Griffith and the host chapter for a location for shipping and storage. Make your checks or money orders out to the Fifth District Dictionary Project (Account). Receipts will be sent to donating chapters and  reported to the DKRS.

To ensure that we allocate sufficient time for the purchase and shipment of these dictionaries, the deadline for all checks and money orders to be postmarked by Friday, 2/17/2012.  If you have any questions or concerns – please contact Bro. Charles Griffith.
